Back to School Style: HBCU Edition
Back to school’s an exciting time for students to get acclimated with new and familiar faces, their curriculum, and their sense of style. That’s right — this form of creative expression is just as important as keeping one’s head in their school books. As a former student myself, I loved seeing everything from preppy to casual looks that trekked across campus. Though I’ve since graduated from those days, it’s still heartwarming to see how much students have stepped it up over the years. Specifically, the illustrious Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University’s darling students are showing the world how much excellence HBCUs produce.
I could be biased because I’m a Tallahassee, FL native, but the students have always held themselves to a certain standard when it comes to their dress code. I wouldn’t be surprised if FAMU’s students are the inspiration for some of the college scenes we’ve seen in film and television.
But instead of debating about that, let’s jump right into some of the looks worn by FAMU’s Royal Court!
